Q1. What made you decide to work in Korea?
I was greatly attracted to the environment of South Korea, which changes rapidly and does not fear new challenges. I believed that I, too, could grow by working in such an environment, and this led me to decide to seek employment in Korea.
Q2. What are you studying (major/school) in Korea?
I studied at the Department of Korean Language and Literature at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. I was able to gain a deep understanding of Korean history and culture, and it was a very beneficial and meaningful college life for me.
Q3. What was the most difficult part of preparing for employment in Korea?
The most difficult part was the visa application.
My biggest concern was that even if I found the job and company I wanted, there were many cases where visas were not provided, making it difficult to work in Korea long-term.
Q4. How did you first learn about JobPloy?

The interview was conducted in a relaxed atmosphere. It began with a brief self-introduction, followed by questions centered on the experiences listed in my application. In particular, there were many questions regarding the tasks I performed at my previous company, the contributions I made, and how I resolved difficult situations while working. I made an effort to explain the situation at the time, the problem-solving process, and the results as specifically as possible, based on my actual experience.
Q8. What was the most memorable experience you had while actually working in Korea?
What impressed me most was the extremely fast pace of work. Since the entire process, from decision-making to task execution, took place quickly, it was not easy to adapt at first. I am currently learning data analysis, and as a result of consistently working for a month to keep up with the pace of my colleagues and senior staff, I was able to achieve good results.
Q9. What aspects of Korean workplace culture left a strong impression on you?
I was impressed by the company culture of having lunch with colleagues using the allocated budget. As a coffee lover, it was a particularly enjoyable and meaningful experience to naturally chat with colleagues over drinks at a café after the meal.
Q10. What do you think was the most important preparation during your job search?
I believe the most important thing is dialogue with yourself . It is crucial to go through the process of asking yourself whether this is something you truly want to do and whether it is something you can consistently pursue with passion. I think that only when you are certain about this can your sincerity be conveyed during the interview and lead to a positive outcome.
Q11. What advice would you give to foreigners preparing to find employment in Korea?
I believe that diverse experiences are very important in Korea. In particular, you can directly experience Korean culture, sentiments, and workplace culture through clubs, internships, extracurricular activities, and part-time jobs. I recommend that international students preparing for employment also try to gain as many diverse experiences as possible.
Q12. Is there anything you would like to say to international students in Japan?
There are also many companies in Korea that hire Japanese people.
I would like to cheer you on, assuring you that if you prepare consistently with a positive mindset, you will surely achieve good results.
