Integrated Guide to Documents Issued by the Home Office for Requesting Correction Claims

To apply for a dependent tax refund, you will need documents issued by your home country.

The types of documents include

  1. Documents proving family relationships
    1. Spouse: Marriage certificate, spouse's ID card included
    2. Children: Including birth certificate and ID card - If your child has not yet received an ID card, you may omit it.
  2. Certificate of no income for dependents

Supporting documents for the above two are required.

  • The scope of dependents is limited to the worker's spouse and children.
  • The Dependent No Income Certificate must include the words "No income".
  • You may substitute your home country documents with a photo or scan, but they must be clearly identifiable.
  • If the document is issued only in the applicant's native language, the applicant must also submit an English translation.
