Business Areas

• Development and Production of Materials for Semiconductor and Display Manufacturing Processes: ROUM HITECH researches, develops, and produces core raw materials such as photoacid generators (PAGs), functional monomers, and polymers that constitute photoresists (PR), which are central to semiconductor lithography processes. These raw materials are supplied to domestic and international photoresist manufacturers and integrated semiconductor companies, playing a crucial role in determining the resolution and quality of semiconductor circuits.
• Development of Essential Materials for Next-Generation Semiconductor Micro-Processes: We are focusing on developing high-purity, high-functional materials essential for next-generation semiconductor micro-processes such as ArF and EUV. In particular, by supplying high-value-added electronic materials such as Bottom-Anti-Reflective Coating (BARC) and Spin-on-Carbon (SOC), we are contributing to the self-reliance of domestic semiconductor materials.

Products

• Photo Acid Generator (PAG): A Photo Acid Generator (PAG) is a compound that generates a strong acid when exposed to light energy, playing a key photosensitive role in photoresists. ROUM HITECH develops and produces PAGs optimized for various light sources such as KrF, ArF, and EUV, characterized by ultra-high purity purification technology at the ppb level.
• Resin for Bottom-Anti-Reflective Coating (BARC): Organic Bottom-Anti-Reflective Coating (BARC) is a material coated beneath the photoresist layer to prevent light reflection and scattering during the photolithography process. This enables improved process margins and the implementation of fine circuits, and we provide polymer-based resins for KrF BARC or ArF BARC with high RI.
• Resin for Hardmask (Spin-on-Carbon, SOC): As semiconductor line widths narrow, this material is essential for the hardmask process to compensate for the etching resistance of thin photoresist layers. We develop oligomeric phenol derivatives or polymers with excellent etching resistance and planarization properties, contributing to next-generation semiconductor processes.
